String of Turtles - Peperomia Prostrata
Jackie
Adorable

I received my string of turtle today, though I ordered a small one most of the leaves look healthy and happy I kind of wish it had a few more strands but I’m going to work hard to make sure it’s happy and healthy! For winter protection they wrapped it in cotton I’m super happy with all my plants so far!

Breathtaking!

The Stromanthe Triostar was the last plant I unwrapped from my second order from mygraenscape.com. I gasped when I saw this beautiful plant with its long leaves of dark and light pink and green. The underside of the leaves are deep pink. And it has some stripes, especially underneath. She is very healthy and has a few new leaves unfurling. All the plants were packaged up very well. Thanks so much!

My ZZ :-)

I'm so happy to have received this ZZ plant. Originally I ordered four plants, then after looking at my order I realized 2 of the same plant was in my cart. So I contacted mygraenscape.com and it was just in time as the shipment hadn't gone out yet. So I was advised I could pick another plant so that is how I became a plant parent for my ZZ :-) I'm grateful for the kindness I received -Thank you Imtiaz!
This is a very healthy plant. It's tall with interesting and shiny leaves. So nice to have this plant. Thanks mygraenscape.com
p.s. I want to purchase the ZZ Raven with my next order.

How to Care for Your Large Indoor Plants

Large plants in 10 to 14 inch pots need deep watering every 7 to 10 days. Push your finger 2 inches into the soil. If it's dry, water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom. And don't let the pot sit in standing water. Overwatering is the top killer. Yellow leaves near the base? That's your sign.

How to Fix Common Large Indoor Plant Problems?

Drooping usually means underwatering or root rot. Check the soil first. Bone dry 2 inches down? Water deeply. But if the soil is soggy and smells musty, you've overwatered. Pull the plant out, trim any black or mushy roots, and repot in fresh soil with drainage.

Brown edges mean dry air. It's extremely common from November to April when the furnace runs constantly. Boost humidity above 40% with a pebble tray or humidifier. And move the plant away from heating vents. You should see improvement within 2 to 3 weeks.

Yellow leaves near the bottom often signal overwatering. Let the soil dry out before the next watering. But yellow leaves all over? That could be a nutrient deficiency. Feed with a balanced fertiliser. And check for root-bound conditions (roots circling the drainage hole mean it's time to size up the pot).

Stretching toward the window with big gaps between leaves? Not enough light. Move your plant closer to the brightest window. So if you have a south facing spot, use it. Rotate the pot a quarter turn every 2 weeks for even growth. And prune leggy stems back to encourage bushier shape.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most large indoor plants reach 3 to 6 feet in a home setting. Some, like the Bird of Paradise, can push 7 feet with the right light. Check our size guide for the mature height of each species we carry.

Yes. The key is managing low humidity and reduced light. Keep plants away from cold drafts near doors and windows. And boost humidity to at least 40%. A grow light running 10 to 12 hours replaces the lost daylight.

Every 18 to 24 months for most species. Go up only 2 inches in pot diameter each time. But if roots are circling the drainage hole or water runs straight through without absorbing, repot sooner. Spring (March to May) is the best time.

Majesty Palms and Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia) are considered non-toxic. But Fiddle Leaf Figs and Rubber Trees are toxic to cats and dogs. Always verify on the ASPCA's plant safety database before bringing a plant home.
