String of Turtles - Peperomia Prostrata
Jackie
Adorable

I received my string of turtle today, though I ordered a small one most of the leaves look healthy and happy I kind of wish it had a few more strands but I’m going to work hard to make sure it’s happy and healthy! For winter protection they wrapped it in cotton I’m super happy with all my plants so far!

Breathtaking!

The Stromanthe Triostar was the last plant I unwrapped from my second order from mygraenscape.com. I gasped when I saw this beautiful plant with its long leaves of dark and light pink and green. The underside of the leaves are deep pink. And it has some stripes, especially underneath. She is very healthy and has a few new leaves unfurling. All the plants were packaged up very well. Thanks so much!

My ZZ :-)

I'm so happy to have received this ZZ plant. Originally I ordered four plants, then after looking at my order I realized 2 of the same plant was in my cart. So I contacted mygraenscape.com and it was just in time as the shipment hadn't gone out yet. So I was advised I could pick another plant so that is how I became a plant parent for my ZZ :-) I'm grateful for the kindness I received -Thank you Imtiaz!
This is a very healthy plant. It's tall with interesting and shiny leaves. So nice to have this plant. Thanks mygraenscape.com
p.s. I want to purchase the ZZ Raven with my next order.

How to Care for Your Small Indoor Plants

Small pots dry out fast. A 3.5 inch pot in a heated Canadian home can go bone dry in 3 days. So check before you water. Stick your finger an inch into the soil. Dry? Soak it. Damp? Leave it. In spring and summer, that usually means every 5 to 7 days. But in winter, stretch it to every 10 to 14 days. And overwatering kills more small plants than anything else. The Dwarf Jade is a perfect example. It stores water in its thick leaves and only needs a drink when the soil is completely dry.

How to Fix Common Small Indoor Plant Problems?

Overwatering is the most common cause. Check the soil. Soggy? Let it dry out completely. But it could also be low nitrogen. If the oldest leaves yellow first, feed with half-strength fertiliser. And check for cold drafts near winter windowsills.

Dry air. Almost every time. Especially November through March. So group plants closer together. Try a pebble tray. And check if there's a heating vent within a metre. That dries things out faster than people realise.

Spider mites. Tiny. Almost invisible until you spot the webs. Wipe leaves with neem oil or 70% isopropyl alcohol. And check the undersides. Repeat every 5 to 7 days for 3 weeks.

Don't panic. Some plants shed lower leaves when light drops. It's dormancy, not death. So cut back on water. Every 14 to 18 days is fine. Keep the room above 16 degrees Celsius.

Pothos, ZZ Plant, and Snake Plant. All three handle low light, irregular watering, and dry Canadian winter air. And they bounce back fast if you forget them for a week.

Every 5 to 7 days in spring and summer. Every 10 to 14 days in winter. But don't rely on a calendar. Stick your finger an inch into the soil. Dry? Water. Damp? Wait.

Not on their own. No plant survives without light. But a full-spectrum LED grow light running 10 to 12 hours a day changes everything for low-light varieties.

Some are. Some aren't. Peperomia and Spider Plants are non-toxic. But Dieffenbachia and Philodendron cause mouth irritation if chewed. So check the ASPCA's list before buying.

Firm green leaves. No yellow spots in the photos. And clear care instructions. Every MyGreenScape plant ships with a care card, insulated packaging in cold months, and a 30-day happy plant guarantee.
